PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether a photographed image is an a appropriate one without performing complicated operations, even when self timer photographing by setting photographed image display time after photographing in a self timer photographing mode to be longer than the photographed image display time in a normal photographing mode. SOLUTION: Operation of this camera is controlled by a system controller 100 (CPU 100), provided with a CPU and a program inside a ROM 112 connected to the CPU 100. Images are fetched by fetching an object image image formed through a photographing lens 2 by a solid-state image pickup device (CCD) 101 and image-processing output signals from the CCD 101 in a signal-processing part 102. Then, in the camera, the photographed image display time after photographing in the self timer photographing mode is set longer than the photographed image display time in the normal photographing mode. In this way, image display control is performed by the CPU 100.
