PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize small power consumption, improvement of precision of gain control and simplified configuration by eliminating the need for an analog gain control amplifier before A/D(analog/digital) conversion. SOLUTION: An A/D converter 12 receiving an analog input signal from an input terminal 11 coverts the analog input signal into a digital signal with the number of bits (e.g. 12-bits) more than the number of required bits (e.g. 10-bits) required for a digital signal processing system, a multiplier 13 multiplies the digital signal with a multiplication coefficient from a terminal 16 and a bit number conversion circuit 14 converts the number of the bits of the digital signal into the number of required bits (e.g. 10-bits).
