PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an identical case both for a leader tape system and a leader member system by a method wherein a mounting part to and from which a coupling member used to hook the coupling opening of a leader tape used to hold the tip of a magnetic tape can be attached and detached is provided, and a leader-member housing recessed part is provided. SOLUTION: A hook-member mounting part 16 comprises a circumferential wall used to form a triangular recessed part to which a hook member is fitted, When a case is assembled as a leader tape system, the hook member is fitted, fixed and bonded. On the other hand, a leader-member housing recessed part 11 is formed in the end of a guide wall 19. It is formed so as to be retreated from a tape running passage in such a way that it does not disturb the operation of a magnetic tape or a tape derivation member on the side of an apparatus. The end of the guide wall 19 is extended up to a part of the housing recessed part 11 so as to form a part of the wall of the leader-member housing recessed part 11. When a leader member system is used, the magnetic tape is clamped to a center pin member or the coupling member of the leader member is fitted to the housing recessed part 11.
