PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens unit which can increase a current to be applied to a coil for driving by suppressing the temperature elevation of the coil for driving and can perform the stable high-speed driving control of an objective lens by being made light in weight while reducing lowering in the rigidity of an objective lens holder. SOLUTION: An objective lens holder 2 has a through hole 11 for holding the objective lens almost in the center and passing laser light and a coil supporting projection part 12 for winding and supporting a coil for driving on the side. On a surface (hatched surface) in contact with the coil for driving, a ventilation flue 14 is provided for circulating air. This ventilation flue 14 is formed from a recessed part near the center of the objective lens holder 2 but passed parallel with a tracking direction T in the coil supporting projection part 12.
