PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability by surely executing the transfer of driving right to the stand-by side of a redundant process I/O device without generating an error even when the driving side is pulled out by a hot-line. SOLUTION: In the redundant process I/O device, hot-line maintaining signal terminals 16 are arranged near to terminals for inputting/outputting a process signal in each of connectors 11I, 11M, these terminals 16 are monitored by a microprocessor 911. At the time of judging that the driving side of the redundant process I/O device is pulled out by a hot-line, the processor 911 gives up the driving right and allows the stand-by side to succeed processing.
