THICKNESS INSPECTION APPARATUS FOR BOTTLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and accurately inspect a thickness of a bottle without being affected by vibration thereof. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises a capacitance detector 2 for detecting a capacitance of bottle by bringing an electrode into contact with a surface thereof, and an apparatus body having a computing controlling device for performing computation of converting a detected output of the capacitance detector 2 into a thickness of the bottle. The capacitance detector 2 has a sensor 21 with a supporting member 23 made of elastic material supporting a contacting member 22 coming into contact with the surface of the bottle. The contacting member 22 comprises an electrode sheet provided with the electrode and mounted on and along the curvature of a longitudinally curved tie plate.
