PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing the lowering of spring force with lapse of time by lowering the load on a pressurizing spring when a pressing member is separated. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a fixing roll, a pressure roll, a web W for cleaning soil stuck to the surfaces of the above mentioned rolls by abutting on either one of the rolls, a feeding means and a winding up means for the web, a pressing member 6 to press the web W to the roll to be cleaned, a 1st holding member for holding the pressing member 6 an the pressure member 7 for pressing this pressing member 6 to the roll to be cleaned, a 2nd holding member for holding the 1st holding member, and a web cleaning part for making the pressing member nearer to and away from the roll to be cleaned by moving the 1st holding member by a moving means provided in the 2nd holding member.
