摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the production of a filter to easily produce a single-color or multicolor chiral nematic liquid crystal filter having uniform thickness, high accuracy and excellent transparency and color purity while reducing the loss of the material. SOLUTION: The production method of a chiral nematic liquid crystal filter includes a process of forming a photo-setting light-transmitting photosensitive composition layer on a light-transmitting substrate and of exposing the photosensitive composition layer according to an image, a process of adhering a chiral nematic liquid crystal layer as a transfer material to the exposed photosensitive composition layer under pressure, a process of heating the light-transmitting substrate and the transfer material in the adhered state and then of peeling the transfer material to form the chiral nematic liquid crystal only in the exposed region on the photosensitive composition layer, and a process of dissolving and removing the photosensitive composition layer in the unexposed region after peeling and further, of heating and fixing the liquid crystal layer. Two or more kinds of transfer materials having different hues may be used to form a liquid crystal layer of two or more colors by repeating the above processes twice or more.
