<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character control system on a screen which enables a user to easily perform operation without being bound to circumstances by moving the system in user's hand in accordance with a prescribed pattern to easily control expressions, complicated operations, etc., of characters on the screen. SOLUTION: A system is provided with a computer 10 coupled to a display device 12, an oval hand-held computer controller 20 having at least one accelerometer, a transmission means which transmits the output of the accelerometer to the computer, and a means which receives the output transmitted from the accelerometer to control the movement of a character in accordance with the feature of the output of the accelerometer, and the control means which controls the movement of the character 16 includes a means which provides a template corresponding to a prescribed feature of the output, a means which matches the output with the template, and a means which controls the character on the screen by a prescribed method at the time of matching of the output with the template, and this prescribed method includes a pattern of the movement which brings emotional contents.</p> |
