摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate engagement shock in changing a transmission gear ratio, and keep machine efficiency favorable in normal operation in a reduction reverser for marine use. SOLUTION: In this multi-stage reduction reverser to conduct speed change by changing working fluid passages to hydraulic clutches F1, F2, R for respective speed change steps by change-over valves 14, 15, 20, hydraulic fluid pressure for actuating the clutches F1, F2, R is temporarily set to exceed a prescribed value in changing a transmission gear ratio in middle to high engine rotation number ranges. A hydraulic fluid pressure regulating valve 22 is provided with a main pressure receiving piston with a large hydraulic fluid pressure receiving surface, and an auxiliary pressure receiving piston with a small pressure receiving surface, it is provided with a pressure increasing solenoid selector valve 25 to supply hydraulic fluid to the pressure receiving surface of the auxiliary pressure receiving piston in such a way that it can be freely disconnected, and the pressure increasing solenoid selector valve 25 is changed from a hydraulic fluid supply position to a drain position for reducing a hydraulic fluid pressure regulating surface to increase the hydraulic oil pressure till it exceeds the prescribed value.</p>
