<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat restraining method for a sheath interrupter, capable of effectively restraining the heat generated at the external semi-conductive layer of a CV cable. SOLUTION: This heat restraining method for sheath interrupters S is provided with insulation tubes 5 positioned at the isolation parts 4 of metallic shielding layers 2 of CV cables 1, and protective copper pipes 6 for cross-bond grounding the end parts of the metallic shielding layers 2, wherein the phases of voltages induced at the insulation tubes 5 are measured as necessary, and the voltages of the phase and an opposite phase are applied in between the insulation tubes 5 to restrain induced voltage. It is thus possible to restrain the heat generation of the external semi-conductive layer 13 of the CV cable 1 until it becomes roughly zero and ensure the transmission capacity of the CV cable 1 itself.</p> |
