PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve miniaturization, thinning and low cost by fitting and fixing the lower part of a bearing holder for holding the bearing of a capstan shaft in a recess formed on a motor base. SOLUTION: A recess 6a formed by drawing almost in the center of the upper surface of a motor base 6 made of an iron plate or a silicon steel plate has a circular plane inside, and a circular through-hole in the center of the plane. A bearing holder 4 made of zinc is provided with a pair of sintered alloy bearings 7, and the lower part of the bearing holder 4 is fixed by caulking in the through-hole of the motor base recess 6a. The depth of the motor base recess 6a is set equal to a depth for housing the entire bearing holder lower part 4a, and the upper surface of the bearing holder lower part 4a is set at a height equal to that of the upper surface of the motor base 6. Since no projecting parts are present near a capstan shaft 3 on the upper surface of the motor base 6, no limitation is imposed when a mechanical component such as a pinch roller arm or the like is disposed.
