SQUARE PIPE AND BASKET FOR CASK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress performance degradation by reducing stress concentration against a specific part of a square pipe. SOLUTION: When a cask falls or turns over and the weight works to the arrow F direction in the figure against a basket 509, the weight is simply transmitted (as shown with arrow (f) in the figure) to the neighboring square pipe 1 as the corner of the square pipe is formed in sharp edge 2. Therefore, stress concentration to the specific part of the square pipe 1 is reduced and performance degradation of the square pipe 1 can be suppressed.
