PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in receiving characteristic despite the low receiving input by calculating the mean receiving power and dealing with the signal obtained from the selection synthesizing diversity as a composite signal when the said mean power is smaller than the prescribed value and otherwise dealing with the signal obtained from the maximum ratio synthesizing diversity as a composite signal respectively. SOLUTION: A maximum output detection part 13 compares the power value Pa of a receiving antenna 1a with the power value of Pb of a receiving antenna 1b and outputs the comparison result information to a selection processing part 14. The part 14 outputs an in-phase signal Is and a quadrature signal Qs of a system having large receiving power to a signal switch processing part 16 according to the comparison result information. A diversity switch decision processing part 12 outputs a control signal to the part 16 to select a signal obtained from the selective synthesizing, and otherwise a signal obtained from the maximum ratio synthesizing when the mean receiving power Ph is smaller than the prescribed power value Ps and vice versa, respectively. Then the part 16 outputs the maximum ratio synthesizing signal or selective synthesizing signal to a composite processing part 17 according to the control signal, to undergo the composite processing there by the signals Is and Qs.
