PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for measuring the deadweight having good reproducibility and easy fitting. SOLUTION: Fitted to a car body frame 3, a dead weight measuring apparatus comprises a load sensor 12 provided with displacement sensors 13 and 14 for detecting the vertical displacement of the car body frame 3, as well as a displacement-voltage converter 15 for converting the displacement detected by the displacement sensors 13 and 14 into a voltage, and a display device 16, which is supplied with the output voltage from the load sensor 12 and displays a dead weight value corresponding to the output voltage.
