PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve charge and discharge cycle characteristic by adding compound oxide containing Li and Ni, lithium carbonate added to the compound oxide, and sodium carbonate and/or potassium carbonate to a positive electrode. SOLUTION: Complex oxide containing Li and Ni is expressed by a general formula LiWNi(1-X)MXO2 (W varies according to charge and discharge, 0.05<=X<=0.5, and M is a metalic element). It is preferable to add lithium carbonate of 0.5-10 pts.wt. to the compound oxide of 100 pts.wt., and also to add sodium carbonate and/or potassium carbonate of 0.5-10 pts.wt. thereto. The mixing ratio of lighium carbonate and sodium carbonate and/or potassium carbonate is preferably within a range of (lighium carbonate):(sodium carbonate and/or potassium carbonate)=3:7 to 7:3. |
