PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength-variation type light transmitter/receiver, that can transmit signal of arbitrary wavelength, is inexpensive, is suited for long-distance transmission, and has improved isolation characteristics between channels. SOLUTION: A plurality of semiconductor optical amplifiers are formed on an InP substrate, a high-reflection film 5 is formed on the rear end face of the optical amplifiers at the light transmission part for forming light transmission and reception parts using the optical amplifiers, and at the same time, a resonator-length variable type fiber grating 10-1 is provided at the front end face side for composing a wavelength-variable type fiber grating laser low- reflection films 6-1 and 6-2 are provided on both the end faces in front of and in the back of the optical amplifiers, a photodiode 15 is arranged at the rear end face side, and a tunable filter 16 for selecting the transmission wavelength is arranged at the front end face side. |
