PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for processing paper sheets which forcibly straightens curled paper sheets such as bills into a smooth state to improve the processing precision and uses a device, which uses a drum stacker and copes with three denominations, to improve the precision furthermore and is free from a fault and a malfunction to accurately perform a work. SOLUTION: An upper plate 2 of a paper sheet insertion part 1 is provided with plural downward semi-spherical projections 4 in parallel at intervals of a prescribed length so that they may cross the going direction of paper sheets, and a lower plate 3 is provided with plural upward semi-spherical projections 5 in parallel in interval positions of projections 4 of the upper plate 2, and an elevating plate with separates paper sheets to store them into the upper part and the lower part of a casing is provided between guides which face each other to form a carrying line connecting to the paper sheet insertion part 1, and rubber bands are provided on the upper face in both ends in the lengthwise direction of the elevating plate.
