PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a liquid crystal display device permitting to protect the whole LCD including not only a liquid crystal panel but also a light guide plate or the like, without damaging the LCD by screwing parts or the like for fixing the LCD to a case of a portable type device. SOLUTION: This is a mounting structure of a liquid crystal display device for mounting an LCD 2 in a case provided with an upper case 1 having a window 1a for a display screen and a lower case to be combined with the upper case 1. In this case, this structure has a positioning rib 1b erected in the periphery of the window 1a for the display screen on the back of the upper case 1, a 1st buffer material 3 interposed between the LCD 2 and the back face of the upper case 1, brackets 4 supporting the LCD 2 from the back face side of the LCD 2, and a fixing means 5 for fixing the brackets 4 onto the back face of the upper case 1.
