PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize color reproductivity in an image output for a plurality of pages. SOLUTION: This processor is provided with an image memory 104 storing image data for all pages related to one output job given to an output device and a means 109 deciding whether the image data for all the pages are data within the color reproduction range of the output device. Only when the image data for all the pages are not determined as being data existing within the color reproduction range of the output device, will the image data for all the pages be subjected to color compression.
