A sashless window comprises a window frame and at least one pane of the window mounted in the frame for sliding movement. Vertical sliding pane sealing is achieved through the juxtaposition of fin type seals (67,68) held the vertical pane holding members (60) and the stile members (21,22). Horizontal sliding pane sealing is achieved through the juxtaposition of fin type seals (72,75) held in the horizontal pane holding members (70) and sill adaptor (44).
