PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a picture without 'tilt' from the picture with 'tilt' by fluoroscopically converting an original picture with a simple operation based on a perspective conversion matrix. SOLUTION: An original picture before tilt correction, which is designated by a user, is read into a memory and is displayed on a display. When a user designates two straight lines L1 and L2, the coordinates of an intermediate point M1 in the straight line L1 is obtained from the coordinates of both end points A and B in the straight line L1 and the coordinates of an intermediate point M2 in the straight line L2 from the coordinates of both end points C and D in the straight line L2. The coordinates of points (a) and (b) obtained by projecting the end points A and B of the straight line L1 to a straight line N1 are calculated and the coordinates of points (c) and (d) obtained by projecting the end points C and D of the straight line L2 to a straight line N2 are calculated. The perspective conversion matrix where the points A, B, C and D are converted into the point (a), (b), (c) and (d) is calculated. An original picture is perspectively converted by using the obtained perspective conversion matrix. Thus, the picture where the tilt is corrected is obtained. |
