The invention relates to a method for extracting gas from fluid-containing strata. According to the invention, the method for extracting gas from fluid-containing strata ensures the pressure variation and the mechanical effect required to release the gas from the solution by subjecting the fluid-containing stratum, which contains at least one trap, to elastic oscillations by varying the source oscillation frequency from the minim to the maximum value and vice-versa, within the frequency range of 0.1...350 Hz. The variation of the oscillation frequency is associated with a reduction of pressure in the stratum or in a part thereof. The oscillaton source is a source of harmonic oscillations, the frequency thereof varying in a monotonous and/or discrete way.
