PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a brushless DC motor with high efficiency, regardless of the load when the rotation of the brushless motor is controlled. SOLUTION: A current command value, calculated by a speed control unit 11 and the motor constants of a brushless DC motor, i.e., a d-axis inductance, q-axis inductance, torque constant and the number of pairs of poles, are used and a current phase calculating unit 12, which calculates a current phase with which a torque generated by the brushless DC motor shows a maximum value, is provided to make the armature current of the brushless DC motor converge to a minimum value, regardless of the load, and the brushless motor is driven with high efficiency. |
