The method of controlling a motor-driven door system involves using a motor (2) coupled to some form of belt (5) and pulley (4) arrangement that couples (6) with a sliding door (1). The extreme limits of door opening are defined by stops (7,8). The motor is controlled by a programmable microprocessor based unit (3) and different door configurations may be handled, e.g. rightwards or leftwards closing. The operating cycle may be determined as part of a learning process. The door may be moved to required positions and steps entered in the programme. Waiting periods for opening and closing cycles can be fixed in the same way. ADVANTAGE - Learning process simplifies establishment of door cycle. Min. hardware required. |
