PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric-power consumption monitor wherein no shield work for a communication line is required and the consumption state of a very light electrical appliance is grasped while the consumed power of the device itself is reduced. SOLUTION: A measuring part A which measures the electric-power energy consumed at a lower stream, in power supply, than a distribution panel 3, and a display part B which converts the value measured with the measurement part A into various information for display, are provided. The measurement part A comprises a current transformer 5 which converts the analog current value consumed in the lower stream of power supply into an analog current value proportional to it, an A/D converter 11 which converts the converted analog current value into a digital current value, and an AC/DC converter 13 which makes the AC power supplied to the measurement part A into DC of low voltage as a drive power supplied to the display part B. The measurement part A is connected to the display part B with a communication/power line 31 where a digital current value and drive power are sent.
