PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the copying time by an image forming device in full color of 4 colors provided with an intermediate transfer belt. SOLUTION: This image forming device is let to set a primary transferring part T1 by arranging a primary transfer roller 5b on one hand of a side part 1d, when approximately quadri-secting a photosensitive drum 1 in its peripheral direction, into a upper part 1a and a lower part 1b, between these two of side parts 1c and 1d, and to set a secondary transferring part T2 by arranging the secondary transfer roller counter roller beneath the primary transfer part. Moreover, the device is let to dispose an intermediate transfer belt 5, so as to travel from the primary transfer part T1 to the secondary transfer part T2 by the shortest range. In such a manner, the copying time (image forming time) can be shortened. This manner is particularly effective in the case of performing the monochrome image formation, by the color image forming device.
