PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved impact resistance, resistance to staining and flawing, improved tactual sense and enhanced contrast of images without degrading the brightness of a display screen by specifying the ray transmittance of a laminate formed by laminating a rubber film on at least one surface of a base material film. SOLUTION: The protective film for display screen consists of the laminate formed by laminating the rubber film on at least one surface of the base material film and the ray transmittance of this laminate is >=30 to <80% in a range of a wavelength 45 to 800 nm. The base material film is not particularly limited, insofar as the film is a plastic film. The control of the ray transmittance of this case may be executed by compounding pigments or dyes with either or both of the rubber film and the base material film. The color tones of nearly the equal ray transmittance in the range of a wavelength 45 to 800 nm are achieved by suitably compounding the red, blue and black pigments or dyes with the film.
