PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reject an interview with a person who visits a slave set side and to whom a resident of an interphone master set finds difficult to decline the interview through a direct conversation by replying the person in the voice of a person who is actually does not exist in the master set. SOLUTION: A master set 2 of the interphone is provided with a microphone 4 and a loudspeaker 6. This maser set 2 has a voice synthesis IC 28 that reads a predetermined sampling signal from a RAM 30, converts the signal into a voice signal and provides an output. The master set 2 selects a voice signal generated from the microphone 6 or the voice synthesis IC 28, by closing one of opening/closing switches 22, 32 and opening the other. The selected voice signal from the voice synthesis IC 28 or the microphone 4 is fed to a hybrid transformer 10 via a voice conversion IC 24 and is sent to a slave set 12 via the hybrid transformer 10.
