PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connecting apparatus with excellent silentness by reducing the sound of sliding movement produced when winding and unwinding a flat cable. SOLUTION: This apparatus includes a lower cover 2, an upper cover 5, a flat cable 1 spirally contained and positioned within a cable storage chamber 3 formed by the covers, and a carrier 17 serving as a cable winding assisting means freely rotationally positioned within the cable storage chamber 3 for assisting in winding the flat cable 1 on the inner peripheral surface 8a of the lower cover 2 or the shell part 4 of the upper cover 5. The lower cover 2 is provided with a cable receiving part 14 for supporting the lower end 1a of the flat cable 1 wound on the inner peripheral surface 8a.
