PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image recorder provided with a developing unit that is small, simple and easy to maintain. SOLUTION: The color image recorder is provided with a hopper containing developer toner, a supporting body containing 4 pieces of developing units provided with developing rolls and a photoreceptor/belt unit 2 where a photoreceptor 9, an electrifying roll 10 electrifying the photoreceptor 9 and cleaner 27 cleaning and recovering residue toner on the photoreceptor 9 are integrally provided. In this case, the device is constituted so that each developing unit is inserted inside the device from a lid part on a top surface of the device and is able to be loaded to the supporting body from a direction that is orthogonal to a shaft of the supporting body and the photoreceptor/belt unit 2 is inserted inside the device from an opening and closing part in front of the device and guided to an image forming position from a direction that is orthogonal to a developing electrode roll and residue toner on an intermediate transfer belt 32 can be contained to the cleaner 27 at the same time. |
