PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the stable discharge quantity of toner by carrying the toner to a rotary compression member by a rotary carrying member, compressing it by the rotary compression member and discharging it from a toner discharge port. SOLUTION: The rotary carrying member 14 is provided with a rotary shaft 14a and a carrying plate 14b. The rotary compression member 15 is provided with a rotary shaft 15a, a feeding-out member 15d and a compression blade 15c. The toner with which a toner cartridge is filled is carried to the compression member 15 side by the plate 14b of the carrying member 14. Then, the toner is compressed between both members 14 and 15, gathered to a center while being compressed by the action of the blade 15c at both sides of the compression member 15 and discharged by the feeding-out member 15b so as to be supplied to a toner injection port at a developing unit side. Thus, the quantity of toner scraped by one rotation of the compression member 15 is increased. Besides, since the contact area of the toner with air is reduced because the toner is compressed, the stable discharge amount of toner can be obtained without being affected by humidity. |
