PEELING OF INSULATOR OF INSULATOR-COVERED CONDUCTOR WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method of peeling an insulator of an insulator-covered conductor wire that assures long-term and stable insulator peeling without leaving of insulator on the conductor surface after peeling of the insulator and excessive cutting of the conductor even when an insulator has a large coupling force. SOLUTION: The method of peeling insulator of an insulator-covered conductor wire includes a first peeling process for peeling an insulator 11 by cutting it with a cutting tool 2 at the plane parallel to the long axis of the insulator- covered conductor wire 1 having a long-circular cross-section in the right angle to the axial direction of the conductor wire 1 and a second peeling process for peeling the insulator by cutting it with a cutting tool 3 in the right angle direction to the longer axis of the long-circular cross-section and in the axis direction of the conductor wire. It is preferable that a groove is formed at the center of the part to be peeled before the second peeling process and peeling is executed from both sides toward the center of the peeling part in the second peeling process.
