<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically switch the selection of a video inputting device without any additional operation by a user by providing a detector connected to a selector for detecting a signal existing in a selected input. SOLUTION: The user of an information processing system 100 normally watches a television signal which is received by a television tuner 230 and displayed on a display 240. In such a situation, selector 222 receives an input signal through an input 216. When the users puts a videocassette into a videocassette recorder 232, the recorder 232 reproduces the videocassette to supply a signal to an input 218. A detector 234 detects the existence of the signal on the input 218. The selector 222 switches the input 216 to the input 218 to automatically select the VCR 232 so as to display the output signal of the VCR on the display 240.</p> |
