PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working efficiency of the reproduction of a merchandise arrangement state by providing a function which automatically downloads merchandise information, that is not stored in a database from a merchandise information managing device. SOLUTION: A merchandise information collecting device fetches a shelf arrangement information file, where a plurality of pieces of shelf arrangement information are stored from a handy terminal device 20, detects a merchandise code unregistered in a shelf allocation software database 43 from among a plurality of merchandise codes stored in the shelf arrangement information file, outputs a download request for merchandise information corresponding to the unregistered merchandise code to a merchandise information managing device, receives the merchandise information from the merchandise managing device and additionally updates the merchandise information to the database 43. Furthermore, the merchandise information collecting device extracts merchandise image data from the database 43 on the basis of the merchandise code of the shelf arrangement information file and reproduces the current state shelf by pasting and displaying the merchandise image data at a prescribed position of a shelf, on the basis of the shelf arrangement information corresponding to the merchandise code. |
