PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image read system capable of performing a high-speed image correction processing without raising the cost of an image reader. SOLUTION: In this image reader 200, by executing a filtering processing in a main scanning direction to source image data read by a primary filtering processing circuit 209 and executing a variable power processing in the main scanning direction to image data after the filtering processing by a variable power circuit 210, primary correction image data are generated. Then, the primary correction image data are transferred through an interface circuit 214 to this external device 215. In the external device 215, by executing the filtering processing in a sub scanning direction to the primary correction image data from the image reader 200 by a secondary filtering processing means 215a and executing the variable power processing in the sub scanning direction to the image data after the filtering processing by a sub scanning variable power means 215b, the secondary correction image data of a resolution matched with the resolution of final output are generated. |
