PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope device which is high in cost effectiveness against a power source and is usable anywhere without the impairment of portability. SOLUTION: A light source unit 3 containing a chargeable battery 7 and a light source lamp 8 is freely attachably and detachably mounted at an operation part 5 of an endoscope 2 so that luminescent driving is made possible by impressing the power source of the battery 7 to the light source lamp 8 via a selector switch 10. The luminescent driving is made possible by impressing the DC power source generated by a DC generator 16 to the light source lamp 8 via the selector switch 10 even when the electric energy of the battery 7 is consumed by executing the operation etc., for rotating a power generation operation means 18 connected via a connecting means 17 to a DC generator 16 disposed within the operation part 5. An endoscope inspection etc., may be carried out by carrying the endoscope device to arbitrary places.
