PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a communication characteristic by realizing a simple and efficient waveform shaping method, to decide an evaluation criterion with a simple method for the purpose and to set the waveform shaping method without changing a communication procedure of a channel. SOLUTION: In this waveform shaping system, a frequency characteristic detection signal transmission section 101 selects arrangement or polarity of a transmission signal data row and transmits the selected data stream so as to minimize a loss of a signal component to be sent, and a frequency characteristic detection section 112 of a receiver 110 detects the data row an returns the result. An evaluation reference setting section 105 sets and amplitude component of all or a plurality of frequency points for an evaluation criterion, uses an amplitude component of a frequency characteristic around a band edge, presets a position of a frequency null point to use an amplitude component of a frequency characteristic at that position for the evaluation, or sets an evaluation criterion independently of a low frequency side and a high frequency side of a band pass filter and detects a frequency characteristic by a training sequence of a MODEM. |
