PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the transfer time of OSD information when performing OSD display. SOLUTION: Previously compressed OSD information such as character code information is stored on a program memory 3 and when performing the OSD display, the compressed OSD information is transferred to an OSD display system 31. Then, the transferred OSD information is expanded by an expanding part 8 in the OSD display system 31 and based on this expanded OSD information, the OSD display is performed.
