PURPOSE: Structure for mounting a roof rack is provided to prevent noise while installing the roof rack by fixing a stopper on an inner portion of a stanchion and to reinforce weak portion. CONSTITUTION: Roof rack mounting structure comprises a stanchion(10) fixed on a roof panel of a vehicle by a bolt and a nut; first and second combining units(11,12) formed as a semi circular shape: a separating groove(13) integrally formed on the stanchion with a first bar fixing unit(14): a cover(20) combined to the stanchion by being curved as L shape; a stopper(30) conveniently attaching or releasing the cover by being placed on a side portion of the stanchion; an equipment member(50) inserted to the separating groove to release the cover by pushing the stopper; and a roof rack bar(40) fixed on the first bar fixing unit. Thereby, the roof rack mounting structure prevents noise while installing the roof rack by fixing the stopper on the stanchion.
