<p>An intermediate transfer body having a one- or two -or more- layer elastic layer, and a toner separation layer formed on the elastic layer, the surface shape of the toner separation layer having fine projections not higher than 60 mu m and not lower than 20 mu m, whereby providing the intermediate transfer body capable of separating easily from a low-separability recording medium such as thin paper and free from an image defect such as a white spot.</p>
