Convertible furniture units with continuous adjustment and especially designed for invalided and sick people, require the application of electric drives with digital control in order to provide continuously adjustable units suitable for operation by sick, invalided or aged people. The digital electric drive can be controlled by hand or by means of an electric program so that a convertible furniture unit can be moved or stopped as required, within its range of movement.
