It is found out that use of a nucleic acid electrophoresis apparatus with th e use of a small-sized gel makes it possible to detect polymorphic bands at a remarkably higher efficiency than in the conventional methods. It is further found out that this method is appropriately usable in analyzing heredity, distinguishing biological strains, etc.
