DRUG TARGET ISOGENES: POLYMORPHISMS IN THE INTERLEUKIN-1 BETA GENE

Polynucleotides comprising one or more of 4 novel single nucleotide polymorphisms in the human interleukin-1 beta (IL1B) gene are described. Compositions and methods for detecting one or more of these polymorphisms are also disclosed. In addition, various genotypes and haplotypes for the IL1B gene that exist in the population are described.
