<p>The present invention provides a method and system for FFR determination based on flow velocity measurements. One method for FFR determination comprises the steps of obtaining measurements of the maximal velocity at rest in the vessel's minimal cross-section and of pressure proximal to stenosis using a fluid filled manometer attached to a catheter. The percent stenosis is determined from imaging methods, which are known to those skilled in the art, for example, IVUS or QCA. The velocity based CFR is determined using standard methods. Then FFR is calculated using these data.</p> |
