<p>A method for estimating the lighting quality of vehicle headlights characterised in that the distributions of illumination on a screen each tested headlamp are transformed to the real distributions of vertical illumination Ed and Eo where the parameters Ed and Eo correspond to the road surface and to the eyes of the glared drivers. From these results some measure values of lighting quality are calculated, which are the numerical values Mk for the illumation of the road and the numerical values Nl for the eyes of glared drivers. The calculations are made for some numbers k of sectors Sk established for the road surface and their surrounding and for some numbers l of sectors Sl established for the surface of the eye-level of glared drivers. The obtained results are compared with the required values.</p> |
