The invention relates to substituted benzimidazol derivatives of the general formula (I) wherein the radicals R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> have the significance cited in the Claims and a method for the production of said derivatives and use of substituted benzimidazol derivatives as a medicament, in particular as a medicament with tryptase-inhibiting activity.
