The system includes a base station (1) and a handset (5). The base station and the handset comprise respective a respective data processing device which modulates or demodulates a carrier frequency with the data, varies the carrier frequency after a predetermined period of time, and transmits the data in time frames having less than 24 time slots. The data in the time slots are transmitted using time division and frequency division multiplexing. Data are transmitted in a frequency band between 902 and 928 MHz or 2400 to 2483.5 MHz or 5725 to 5850 MHz. The time frame may have a duration of 10 ms. Independent claims are included for a terminal and a method for wireless transmission of data.
