An arrangement and a method for controlling a compressor (2) of an airconditioning arrangement for a motor vehicle, whereby the compressor is optionally driven through activation of a clutch arrangement (4), and whereby the compressor has an input shaft (10) which, via bearing elements (13), is arranged to transmit a wobbling motion to a plate (12) which itself is designed to drive pistons of a number of compressor units (14) of the piston and cylinder type. A control circuit (S) is designed for compulsory brief activation of the clutch arrangement (4) at selected times to ensure movement of said bearing elements (13).
