ANTISTATIC MATTE THERMOPLASTIC PLASTIC PLATE AND ANTISTATIC MATTE THERMOPLASTIC PLASTIC MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic plastic plate having a beautiful matte appearance and excellent antistatic properties without detriment to the surface color, transparency and mechanical strengths by forming a specified coating film on a plastic plate. SOLUTION: This antistatic matte thermoplastic plastic plate is prepared by forming a coating film containing conductive potassium titanate whiskers on at least either surface of a thermoplastic plastic plate. This thermoplastic plastic plate is a plate made of a thermoplastic plastic capable of being thermoformed by e.g. vacuum forming or air pressure molding. The coating material containing the conductive potassium titanate whiskers is desirably an organic-solvent-based one containing about 8-20wt.% conductive potassium titanate whiskers. The thickness of the coating film is desirably 1-10μm.
